Quakers have decided to install a four-megawatt solar-power system on a purpose-built structure in front of the Caretaker's House. The cost will be about $70,000. It is planned that the project will be built in May 2009. Contributions come from Quakers as individuals and as a group, from grants and from the proceeds of meeting-room hire. Donations are welcome and needed. This Quaker project is part of our contribution to healing our planet and is in keeping with the Australian Quaker Earthcare Charter. Our Quaker forest will be open to the public on weekend of 21 and 22 November 2009.
